WELCOME TO FAAAF

The Foundation for the Augmentation of African-Americans in Film (FAAAF) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, whose mission is to identify, inspire and prepare the next generation of African-American filmmakers as they continue to influence, craft, and develop the evolving images of African-American people in cinema.

REEL KIDS

The concept behind Reel Kids is to expose middle school through high school students to areas of the industry that people of color have routinely ignored: producing, screenwriting, film reviewing, and the technical aspects of the film industry.

PRODUCER’S INSTITUTE

The Foundation for the Advancement of African-American in Film (FAAAF) seeks to provide educational opportunities to the next generation of movie executives through its “Producer’s Institute” (“the Institute”).

FUNDRAISERS

In order to support the Foundation’s initiatives, we have several film events, including The Black Reel Awards, Black Reel Television Awards, The LightReel Film Festival, and our monthly film literacy screening program, the LightReel Film Series.
